The Maritime Union is undertaking industrial action around the country against DP World as negotiations flounder on a new wrokplace agreement.
Workers stopped work on Sunday for 24 hours and further actions including rolling stoppages that are to see every worker down tools for the final hour of each shift, along with work bans are being instigated. Today all the morning timeslots were cancelled.
On Friday 17 January there is proposed Industrial Action that includes stoppages as well as bans and limitations that will affect Terminal Operations.
There will be no slots in the following zones:
0500, 1300, 2100
Further action is expected and may include Melbourne and Brisbane terminals as well.
