Today the Premier of Victoria, Daniel Andrews, announced Stage 4 business restriction to apply in Metropolitan Melbourne from 11:59pm Wednesday 5 August aimed at controlling the further spread of COVID-19.
ACA International will continue to operate, notwithstanding that all our direct employees have been working from home since late March when the original restrictions were announced, as we and our contractors are permitted operators in the transport and warehousing sector.
Service providers (including support services) in this sector can continue to operate on site as long as they have COVID Safe plans in place.
Warehouse operations need a further High Risk COVID Safe Plan, which also includes a limitation to no more than two-thirds the normal workforce allowed onsite at any one time. We are unsure how this limitation may impact some of our service delivery levels out of Melbourne but we will keep you updated on a case by case basis.
While our Melbourne staff continue to work from home our IT team are permitted to perform onsite maintenance activities necessary to keep our operation ticking over.
Customers should contact our Customer Service or Transport and Logistics Teams should the new restrictions impact their own operations which may require re-scheduling of deliveries or pick-ups.
Over the rest of this week the true impact of the new restrictions will become clearer and we will provide you with updates to any change to our, or our contactors, operations that may impact you.
