ZIM Lines has announced a second service into Australia that will commence in December.

SAX

At this point the additional service will be called SAX and operate:

Laem Chabang – Ho Chi Minh – Nansha – Yantian – Sydney – Melbourne – Brisbane

The service will start  with its  maiden voyage from Laem Chabang  ETD 4 December, HCM 6 December, Nansha 10 December.  There will then be a blank sailing and  a resumption Mid December.

The service will operate 6 x 2200 TEU vessels.

CAX

ZIM  Lines introduced their first service Mid-October referred to as CAX.

With the introduction of the above service CAX has re-worked scheduling  as follows:

Xiamen – Ningbo – Shanghai – Sydney – Melbourne – Brisbane

The additional tonnage will be welcome in the current shipping environment.  ZIM have provided this summary (ZIM Serrvice Details).
