Vessel Delay Notice

There continues to be vessel delays as a result of the many factors we have previously reported. Significant congestion in European, USA and New Zealand Ports.  The consortium operating the ANP service from USA to New Zealand have announced they will restructure their service to omit Napier and Port Chalmers every alternate sailing. This will also impact on services between Australia and New Zealand.

Singapore (a major transhipment port to Australia and New Zealand from South East Asia, India Sub-continent, Far East and Europe) continues to suffer from congestion.  To ease some congestion PSA (the Singapore ports operator) has activated previously inactive terminals Keppel and Brani terminals and has sourced increased labour countries like Thailand, however we are still seeing vessels being delayed through Singapore impacting on vessel schedules.

Ongoing high levels of exports from China ports and seasonal weather conditions at different ports are impacting on vessel scheduling.  The below are some of the delays impacting on imports and exports into Australian ports.

Notices have been issued by carriers and are available on request from your Customer Service representative.  Please note carriers will continue take corrective action to try to avoid further delays by changing port rotations and omitting ports on export voyages and future import voyages.  All carriers and trade lanes are being impacted and consequently all vessels to and from Australia will continue to see small and large delays often at very short notice.

We understand that this is creating major disruptions however it is an industry wide scenario that we are unable to control.  We will continue to update as quickly as possible via our reporting and notices from our sales and customer service teams and our delay notices.
