ANL Shipping line has informed us yesterday afternoon, 11 October 2021 that the NEFELI V. 2119/2120 will omit Lyttleton, Wellington and Nelson.
Bookings will be transferred to the next TTZ sailing HANSA OFFENBURG V. 2121, departing Australian ports approximately 8 days later.
Our export teams are looking at alternative options that will include earlier departures from Australia on the PCX service, however that would require additional rail cost from Tauranga to Wellington. The export team will be in contact to update and discuss other arrangements asap.
ANL operates the only direct sailing into these ports on the TTZ service. As we have advised in previous newsletters, the service has been severely impacted on by port congestion in both New Zealand and Australia resulting in 30% reduction in the number of sailings per month. The vessel owner indicated that they will need to use port omission as a means of recovering vessel schedules to get the service back to weekly sailings.
