High Winds have caused the Port of Auckland temporarily shut down for three hours. There will be delays accessing the port as truck turnaround time has increased.
The port is monitoring weather conditions and may shut down again should wind increase.
Due to high winds Empty container yards have been shut until further notice. Shipping containers have toppled over at various storage facilities.
There will be delays with LCL deliveries as response crews are attending multiple incidents including fallen trees and associated power outages affecting traffic signalling.
